Multi-Level Marketing or a scam?

Jacob S asked:

Hey my friend tried to recruit me to help him out with this business/multi-level marketing project for some really healthy juice or something. It seemed nice but I already have a part-time job. I was also wondering if it is just a scam. You have to pay 8 bucks to get in and then you try to recruit more and more people to join, etc. Is it worth it? Or should I stay away. I think I have too much on my plate with my part time job already

My experience has been to never join something that requires you to recruit others.

Anything that requires you to pay to work for it, AND hire new people indefinitely, is a scam. You can’t go one hiring people indefinitely. No real business does that. The way these things earn money is by recruiting new people, NOT BY SELLING THEIR PRODUCT. The product could really be anything- it doesn’t matter. They recruit new people, charge ‘em a door fee to join, and then charge ‘em for product that they’re supposed to turn around and sell. Problem is, everyone ends up with product laying around in their garages and closets long after they quit. YOU, the ‘employee’, are how they really make their money.

Yes, most of these MLM type positions make money off recruiting other suckers - oops, victims….oops, people - into their net.

You end up destroying relationships with your relatives, neighbors, and friends because they won’t dare come near to you anymore, you’re always trying to push something off on them.

This may help you:

If you are even remotely thinking about getting into the “functional beverage” industry, you should consider the VERY BEST product. Why? Because it sells itself, and nobody can come along and say their product is better, right? If you are in a MLM you need the very best product out there. That one is Mona Vie:
Monavie sells itself in the largest growing industry in America to the largest segment of the population: Baby Boomers. I have been involved for 2 months and already I’ve earned enough to offset my entire startup cost. I met a guy in it for 6 months that makes, well so much you wouldn’t even believe it. Monavie has been around for only 3 years and already it has passed the BILLION dollar mark. Even Microsoft took 5 years to do that!

And after you sign up for Monavie, go back to your friend that is trying to get you signed up on his inferior product and sponsor him!
